Aryan Knights

The Aryan Knights was created at Idaho Maximum Security Institution (Idaho Department of Correction) in the 1990s. Members are required to believe in some form of Christianity. They exhibit the standard Aryan symbols in various manners to denote their support of white supremacy ideology. In addition to these symbols, their tattoos usually display the initials "AK," the phrase "Aryan Knight," or the numbers "1 11" to indicate set affiliation. The numbers "1 11" are representative of the Aryan Knights, because "A" is the first letter of the alphabet and "K" is the eleventh letter of the alphabet.
