Ed Shaughnessy, a senior member of the Hells Angels' NH Nomads chapter, was unavailable for comment Wednesday, but City Manager Eileen Cabanel said she had recently spoken with him about the World Run and the possibility of the Hells Angels using some municipal property for motorcycle parking.

Each year, according to authorities, the World Run brings together two representatives from every Hells Angels chapter for what is described as a business meeting.

In 2003, Attorney P. Scott Bratton, who periodically has represented the Hells Angels' NH Nomads chapter, characterized the World Run eight years ago as something that 'should be beneficial to the local economy and there should be no need for alarm in the community.'"
