Drive-by shooting of bikie has Ibrahim attack police on alert | News.com.au: "victim of the second drive-by shooting in Sydney in 24 hours was a member of the Notorious motorcycle club, the club linked to the Ibrahim family, police said.
A 24-year-old man from Doonside, in Sydney's West, remains in Westmead Hospital with bullet wounds to his groin and thigh after a gunman ambushed him on the doorstep of his home on Monday night and shot him twice.
The shooting came less than a day after a house at Ryde, belonging to an Ibrahim relative, was sprayed with bullets in a drive-by shooting.
Specialist police were on high alert on Monday night after the second shooting, but senior investigators said the only links between the two incidents so far was through the same motorcycle club.
Organised Crime Squad boss Chief Superintendent Mal Lanyon said the latest victim was a member of Notorious, as were some members of the Ibrahim family.

However, Sam Ibrahim last night denied his family had any links to Notorious.
Mr Ibrahim said he was a life member of the Nomads motorcycle club.
He said he knew the victim of the Doonside attack but the pair were not members of the same club.
'I have nothing to do with Notorious, none of us do. John is not into motorcycle clubs and neither is Michael, and Fadi isn't either, he's a builder,' Mr Ibrahim said.
'I know boys from Notorious, I have a drink with them, but I'm not one of them.'
Mr Ibrahim said he did not know the motive behind the Doonside shooting. 'I know nothing about it,' he said."
