Officers discovered a loaded .38 revolver behind the front passenger seat of a Holden utility stopped on St Marys Street at Sydney about 12.40am (AEDT) yesterday.
The 43-year-old driver and 38-year-old passenger are alleged associates of the Hells Angels Outlaw Motorcycle Gang (OMCG).
The passenger was released while the driver has been charged with a number of firearm offences, including possess unauthorised pistol in public.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Central Local Court on February 11.
In a separate incident on February 4, officers searched the home of a 26-year-old man on Canterbury Road at Dulwich Hill, seizing a double barrel shotgun, a .223 rifle, a .22 repeating rifle, a 7.62 rifle and ammunition.
The man, also alleged to be an associate of the Hells Angels OMCG, has had his firearms licence suspended, police said.
A day earlier, police allegedly discovered two flick knives on a 23-year-old man on George Street at Parramatta. He's believed to be a member of the Notorious organised criminal group.
