BN- POLICE raided nine homes simultaneously yesterday as detectives dismantled several elaborate clandestine drug laboratories believed to be supplying associates of an outlaw motorcycle gang.
Six men were arrested in the raids when officers from the Asian crime squad and tactical operations unit allegedly uncovered methylamphetamine labs in Marrickville and Homebush about 7am.
Two men were later charged with drug and firearm offences after detectives allegedly seized a number of unregistered firearms, including a .38 calibre revolver, replica pistol, air rifle, a 9mm automatic pistol and eight double shot key-ring pistols, as well as fake credit cards and cash.
Quantities of heroin, cannabis, methylamphetamines and the drug ice were also allegedly seized.
Police with sledgehammers executed the search warrants on homes in Marrickville, Strathfield, Wattle Grove, Villawood, Homebush and Hinchinbrook.
The 21-year-old man from Wattle Grove is believed to be an associate of the Rebels bikie gang, police alleged.
Asian crime squad commander Detective Superintendent Scott Cook said the raids had "put a significant dent" in the organised network.
"All these men ... are part of one big network syndicate," he said.
The arrests follow a four-month investigation.
A 32-year-old from Strathfield and a 28-year-old from Villawood were both refused bail yesterday and will face court again later this month.
