Strike Force Raptor officers have arrested an alleged Outlaw Motorcycle Gang member and seized firearms at St Marys.
About 7:35am today (Friday 25 March 2011), a search warrant was executed at a home in Moira Crescent.
It will be alleged that during a search of the premises, a total of seven firearms were located:
· Loaded 12 gauge pump-action shotgun;
· Loaded .410 shotgun;
· Shortened semi-automatic 12 gauge shotgun with pistol grips;
· Loaded .38 revolver;
· .32 cal revolver;
· Lever action .22 calibre rifle;
· Shortened .22 rifle converted to a pistol
Officers also allegedly located firearms parts, a large quantity of ammunition, steroids, fireworks, valium tablets, unidentified brown powder and drug equipment, and an 8kg drum of caffeine.
A 25-year-old man was arrested at the home and taken to St Marys Police Station and charged with two counts of possess restricted substance.
He’s been granted conditional bail to appear in Penrith Local Court on 11 April 2011.
Investigations are continuing.
Strike Force Raptor was established by the State Crime Command’s Gangs Squad and is a proactive and high-impact operation targeting outlaw motorcycle gangs and their alleged associated criminal enterprises.
