Sydney chief of the Hells Angels bikie gang has been charged over an alleged extortion attempt on a car dealer in the city's inner west.

Felix Lyle was arrested at Silverwater Jail at 2:30pm (AEST) yesterday.
The 54-year-old has been charged with demanding money with menaces from Burwood car yard owner Terry Mullens, who is also know for his links to horseracing.
Last month four luxury cars were stolen from the dealership by masked men.
The cars were then discovered parked outside the business in pristine condition the next day.
Police say Lyle demanded $120,000 from Mr Mullens at Potts Point in Sydney's inner east that night.
Detectives say Mr Mullens was traumatised by threats of violence.
A few days later five Hells Angels members entered the car yard and demanded a luxury car.
Police arrived within minutes though and arrested the five, including the Parramatta president of the Hells Angels, Mostafa Jouayde.
A lawyer for Jouayde later argued his client was there to collect a car he was legally entitled to, and was not extorting Mr Mullens.
In court this morning Lyle did not apply for bail and it was officially refused.
His lawyer says he will apply for bail when the matter returns to court next week.
Earlier police said they had also found a quantity of cocaine during a search of Lyle's inner Sydney unit yesterday.
A 33-year-old man, who is also allegedly a Hells Angel, was arrested at the apartment and charged with possessing a prohibited drug.
He was released on bail to face court next month.
