California Vehicle Code 42008.8 is a new traffic ticket amnesty program that went into effect on August 18, 2015. The program will reinstate drivers licenses that have been suspended for failure to pay traffic fines and/or failure to appear in court. Reinstatement of the drivers license will occur once the license holder enters into a payment plan for the outstanding fines. All individuals who apply for the amnesty program are eligible to have their outstanding fines reduced by 50%. If the license holder is low-income, the program will reduce up to 80% of the license holders outstanding fines.
Under the amnesty program, civil assessments for failures to pay fines and failures to appear in court issued under Cal. Penal Code section 1214.1 are waived. Any individual who is eligible to have a drivers license, including undocumented individuals who are eligible under AB 60, is able to participate in the traffic ticket amnesty program if they meet the eligibility requirements of California Vehicle Code 42008.8.
If you are interested in applying for the license reinstatement and fine reduction, applications will be accepted beginning on October 1, 2015. Learn more about the program by reading the California Courts FAQ: http://www.courts.ca.gov/trafficamnesty.htm

What isn't making network news is the absolute corruption in California Judicial Counsel. They are the primary reason why helmet tickets were and are written as non correctable. BUT in the case of these tickets, the California Judicial Counsel deemed upon themselves to make law; I mean who needs the legislature body. What they did is impose a regulation to many of the CA courts, that if you received a traffic ticket, you had to pay the fine prior to your court date (if you were going to fight). THAT IS ILLEGAL...and by that I mean, AGAINST THE FUCKING LAW. We, (BOLT) tried to educate those who wanted to fight, but to fight, you have to be willing to stand up and say no. But since the vast majority of the sheeple didn't know what to do and could not afford to pay the fine is advance, they simply didn't go to court. Approx 4,800,000 Californian's lost their drivers license. And that is a travesty. That affects everything in your life...and your insurance goes up as well...suspended license. Pass this around in case any of your friends have a suspended license.
