BIKER NEWS: Devil’s Knights Motorcycle Club Helps Make Honor Flight Possible With $3,100 Gift
BN- Six more Korean War veterans from the area will have seats on the next Old Glory Honor Flight thanks to the Devil’s Knights Motorcycle Club in Door County. Mike LaViolette, president of the Devil’s Knights, says they club is more than happy to donate the $3,100 raised from a poker run earlier this year.
LaViollette encourages more community members to be involved with the poker run next June. Door County Veteran Service Officer Scott McFarlane says the honor flight started taking Korean War veterans to see the Korean War Memorial the past two years.
Team, in the photograph, members of the Devil’s Knights Motorcycle Club are presenting a $3100 check to help Door County veterans and their guardians travel to Washington, D.C. on the Old Glory Honor Flight. Accepting the check is Joe Heilman, chairman of the Door County Veterans Service Council. The money was raised through a recent Poker Run organized by the Devil’s Knights.
