BIKER NEWS: George Joseph Felsheim
BN- George Joseph Felsheim, 92, of Onalaska entered into eternal peace Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015.
He was born Feb. 20, 1923, in Arcadia to George and Lillian (Briening) Felsheim. He proudly served in the U.S. Merchant Marines during World War II. On May 28, 1949, George married Helen Elizabeth Hoesley, the love of his life, at St. Joseph the Workman Cathedral, La Crosse. They celebrated the 58 years of union until her death July 5, 2007, at age 84.
George maintained a high level of integrity during two long term employments, first with Gateway Transportation/Maislin, and then with TeleFlect of Cincinnati. He also maintained a lifetime enthusiasm for riding and sharing about motorcycles with many people, especially with his children. He was a former member of Star Club chapter 160 motorcycle club.
A treasured character to many, George was the much-loved father of Thomas (Laura Seaton) Felsheim, Victoria June (Russell), Gilbert (Linda) Felsheim, Jean Marie Laubenthal, David (Debbie) Felsheim and Mary (David) Sweeney; doting grandfather of Reuben (Erin) Felsheim, Chad (Jacque) Felsheim, Aaron (Dawn) Felsheim, Max (Anna Miller) Felsheim, Dustin June, Lauren Felsheim, H. Arnold (Kate) Laubenthal, Briana June, Andrew Felsheim, Michele Laubenthal, Thomas Loken and Rosemary (Garrison) Dichraff; adoring great-grandfather of Evan, Kylie, Logan, Camryn and Preston Felsheim; and brother-in-law to Robert (Marilyn) Hoesley, David (Sylvia) Hoesley, Jean Hoesley, Olga Hoesley, Kay Felsheim, Dolores Felsheim and Laura Felsheim.
In addition to his wife; he was preceded in death by his beloved brothers, Paul (Dolores), Clem (Laura), Ralph and Rachele and Don (Kay) Felsheim; along with brothers-in-law, Gilbert (Bonnie), Roy (Jean), Hank (Olga) Hoesley and Ray (Rose) Haugen.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4, at Dickinson Family Funeral Home, 401 Main St., Onalaska. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, at Most Sacred Heart Parish, N20555 CTH G, Dodge, Wis. The Rev. Sebastian Kolodziejczyk will officiate, and burial will be in Pine Creek Cemetery.
