BIKER NEWS: HUNDREDS Of Bikers At Funeral Procession
AROUND 150 bikers joined the cortege for the funeral of motorcycle veteran Ewen Haldane through Greenock today (Friday).
Mr Haldane (82) died in a crash on the A82 at Luss last month. He was a former Isle of Man TT racer and ran a motorbike shop in Greenock for many years.
The bikers mustered in Newton Street and, escorted by police motorcycles, followed the hearse through the West End and along The Esplanade to Greenock Town Hall for a ceremony at noon.
One Inverclyde Now reader who go stuck waiting for the procession to pass said he counted just over 200 motorbikes.
Afterwards, bikers took part in the cortege from the town hall to the crematorium at South Street.
