BIKER NEWS: MORE than 70 bikers turned out for a ride out in support of a charity which helps victims of sexual abuse.

BN- MORE than 70 bikers turned out for a ride out in support of a charity which helps victims of sexual abuse.

Rob’s Run raised more than £1,100 for Ambers Angels Trust.

Organised by Widows Sons Southwest Chapter, the ride took bikers on a scenic route from Plymouth to Dartmouth and back again.

The ride aimed to raise as much money as possible for Ambers Angels Trust and their first in the UK drop-in centre for adult and children survivors of sexual abuse, which opened earlier this year.

The run left Morrisons, in Plymstock at 10.30am yesterday, and followed the coastal route up to Darmouth.

The return leg ended at Ambers Angels centre in Christian Mill Business Park, Crownhill.

Amber Haigh, who set up Ambers Angels Trust said: “What a wonderful, wonderful day.

“I want to thank the bikers for such for a fantastic turn out.

“We had a recount of the money raised after the event closed and we calculated a taking £1144.05.

“We are so thrilled and so pleased to have shared today with the bikers and there are already calls to have another event next year.

“We would also like to thank Moorlanders MCC for assisting us in marshalling this event.”
