BIKER NEWS: Police target Coffin Cheaters outlaw motorcycle gang in pre-dawn raids at Braeside, Windsor, Parkdale and Aspendale

BN- UPDATE: ONE of Melbourne’s outlaw motorcycle gangs has been busted operating an illegal bar and hiding weapons and drugs inside their club.

Police have seized drugs, weapons including a baseball bat, and alcohol from the Coffin Cheaters club in Braeside, 27km southeast of the CBD.

One club member, who identified himself only as Pat, said the gang gathered at the Jarrah Drive building mainly for one thing: “to party”.A 58-year-old Windsor man linked to the gang has been arrested and is in police custody.

It followed pre-dawn raids on four premises including a property on Henry St in Windsor, Lower Dandenong Rd in Parkdale and Connewarra Ave at Aspendale.

Acting Inspector John Cormack said the operation aimed to keep gangs “accountable” and remind members their activities were being monitored.

He said it is believed the Coffin Cheaters have been operating a premise without a liquor licence.

“Our investigation has identified a factory in Braeside which includes a purpose built bar,” Insp Cormack said.

“We believe the bar is a place of assembly for the Coffin Cheaters and their associates.


“The community can be reassured that Victoria Police actively monitor OMCG activities and will investigate any illegal activities they are suspected of committing.

“Today’s operation is an example of our ability to detect, identify and disrupt alleged illegal activities being undertaken by outlaw motorcycle gangs within our area and draw upon whatever resources are needed.”

Police were standing guard outside the “Sinners Chapter” clubhouse in Braeside.

A number of bikie associates have been on site as police continued their search.
