BIKER NEWS: Toby Mitchell admits bashing "weak dog cyclist" in extraordinary Instagram rant

BN- Former bikie enforcer Toby Mitchell has admitted on social media to bashing a "weak dog cyclist" before launching an extraordinary salvo against Victoria Police and the judiciary.

The tirade on Mitchell's Instagram account is not expected to assist his legal defence, after his lawyer Theo Magazis told the Magistrates Court last Friday that his client had made no admissions to police and there were matters in dispute surrounding the recent assault in the Docklands.

"After I get told through my passenger window that I am a tuff c*** in the car by a weak dog cyclist I get out and I said I am out of the car and I am still a tuff c**t lets see how tough he is. 1 bitch slap and KO lights out," Mitchell posted on his Instagram account.

Mr Mitchell was charged with conduct endangering persons, driving in a dangerous manner, and intentionally and recklessly causing injury over the alleged attack on Harbour Esplanade on September 7.

In the Magistrates Court last week, Detective Senior Constable Andrew Sward provided a different version of events leading up to the assault.

Mr Sward said Mitchell pulled up alongside the 31-year-old cyclist near the intersection of Collins Street and asked him: "Why aren't you using the bike lane."

The cyclist replied: "You're in a car, you can use the freeway", Senior Constable Sward said.

The court was told that Mitchell allegedly drove his white Mercedes Benz at the cyclist, who was forced to take evasive action. The former heavyweight kickboxer got out of his car and punched the cyclist in the face before fleeing the scene.

Mitchell also told his Instagram followers of his contempt for the Echo taskforce, which was established by Victoria Police to investigate links between outlaw motorcycle gangs and organised crime.

"And I can't believe ECHO gang squad are doing traffic offences of (sic) these days. Must be struggling for work or they just miss me so much they just won't leave me alone."

Echo investigators had previously arrested Mitchell in January and charged him with assaulting an associate and attempting to extort $300,000.

But police prosecutors dropped all but one charge against the prominent gangland figure, who had served more than six-months on remand. Last month, he was fined $1000 for assaulting the man in front of his infant daughter.

Mitchell created an internet meme on his Instagram account titled "Straight Outta Custody"; a parody on the recently released biopic Straight Outta Compton on US hip-hop band N.W.A.

His inflammatory post received more than 1200 likes on Instagram.
