Finks bikie clubhouse in Ringwood raided, man arrested in Lilydale
A massive police operation is under way in Melbourne's east where officers have raided a bikie clubhouse and arrested one man.
The Finks' new clubhouse in Ringwood was raided by police about 8am on Thursday.
At the same time, officers executed search warrants at houses on Kent Avenue in Knoxfield, Hawthory Road in Kilsyth and Kyra Street in Lilydale.
A 34-year-old Knoxfield man with links to the Finks was arrested at the Lilydale property.
He is currently assisting police with their inquiries.
"The warrants relate to alleged drugs and firearms offences," a police spokeswoman said.
"A search of the properties is currently under way."
Police revealed in April that the Finks had opened a new clubhouse in Ringwood, in a sign the outlaw motorcycle club was making a comeback after the majority of its members joined the US-founded Mongols in 2013.
Police allegedly found a large haul of ecstasy tablets, methamphetamine, ice, steroids and cash after searching the car of a man who left the clubhouse on April 26.
A 24-year-old from Chirnside Park was charged with drug offences and possessing proceeds of crime and was bailed to attend the Ringwood Magistrates Court on August 31.
The gang changed its logo last year, from a drunken, pot-bellied King's jester called Bung, to a more muscular version, brandishing a handgun and extending a middle finger.
The modified logo was considered a not-too-subtle message to the former Finks who had "patched over" to the Mongols.
