BIKER NEWS: Tattooed biker jailed for spitting at police

BN- A man has been jailed after spitting in a police officer’s face and then insisting they “deserved it”.

Heavily tattooed motorbike driver John Rudge turned violent when police tried to arrest him for riding his bike while disqualified, Scotland Yard said.

The 49-year-old – who has the words “I miss you” tattooed on his forehead – was initially stopped by police for driving his bike erratically in July.

However, officers were forced to track him down at a property in Hayes, west London, two days later after he drove off as they got out of their police car.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: “An investigation to trace Rudge's whereabouts then followed, and on July 27, officers attended an address in Hayes where he was arrested. 

“At the point of his arrest Rudge violently resisted the officers’ efforts to detain him, and went on to spit into the face of one of the arresting officers. 

“Once taken into custody he declared that the officer deserved it.”

Rudge, of no fixed address, was jailed for 12 weeks at Ealing Magistrates’ Court for assaulting a police officer and driving while disqualified.
