BIKER NEWS: Two women innocent victims of biker war in 1990s
BN -- A biker gang informant has revealed that the deaths of two women in a fire in the mid-1990s were no accident - they were innocent victims in the biker gang war that bloodied the province during that decade.
LaPresse reports that the young women lived in Montreal's Saint Henri district and sometimes worked at a strip club in Granby.
On worknights, they'd sleep at a motel next door instead of making the drive home in the middle of the night.
They happened to be in their rooms when the Hells Angels decided to torch the bar because the owner refused to let the gang deal drugs on the premises.
Marie-Claude Tremblay was 20 and the mother of a young child when she died in the fire. Sophie Perron was 21 and three months pregnant.
