Man arrested, accused of indecency with 2 girls

A 34-year-old man was arrested Tuesday on two charges of indecency with a child after he allegedly touched a 9-year-old girl and an 11-year-old girl in a sexual manner this summer, arrest affidavits state.

John David Hanna, of Waco, was arrested after McLennan County Sheriff’s Office deputies investigated claims that Hanna had sexual contact with both girls on or around Aug. 22, an arrest affidavit states. In a forensic interview, both girls claimed Hanna touched both girls and rubbed himself against each girl.

It was unclear if the alleged abuse of the girls took place at the same time or during separate incidents.

In November, Hanna reportedly told another person that the accusations the victims “were making against him were true,” and he was only trying to show affection to both girls but “took it too far,” according to the arrest affidavit.

Hanna was taken to McLennan County Jail on two second-degree indecency with a child felony charges. He remained in custody Wednesday morning on a total $50,000 surety bond.
