Network Ten has commissioned a mini-series based on Australia's infamous Milperra massacre.
Bikie Wars: Brothers In Arms enters the closed world of Sydney's motorcycle gangs to tell the true story of two men's journey from loyalty to rivalry and then to tragedy.
It is based on the best-selling book Brothers In Arms by late ABC reporter Sandra Harvey and Lindsay Simpson.
The six-part program will be produced by Showtime and the creative team includes writer and executive producer Greg Haddick, who has worked on Underbelly, The Society Murders and Cloud Street, and Roger Simpson, who has worked on Satisfaction, Stingers and Halifax FP.
"This event mini-series will shine a light on this fascinating tribal culture and its code of honour - as intriguing now as it was when the word Milperra became synonymous with one of our blackest days," Ten's chief programming officer David Mott said.
Bike Wars: Brothers In Arms will go to air in 2012.
