Alleged Hells Angel denied bail over hit and run
An alleged member of the Hells Angels motorcycle group has been denied bail over the hit and run death of a Northern Territory man.
Late last night police finalised charges against Nicholas Frank Cassidy, 47, over the alleged hit and run of Levi Griffiths.
Police say the 25-year-old's body was found on the side of the Stuart Highway last month.
But detectives allege his body was moved after he was hit by a ute in the early hours of the morning while walking home from a party on Girraween Road in Howard Springs.
Police allege Mr Cassidy is a member of the Hells Angels.
He was denied magistrates bail last night and remanded in custody, facing charges of hit and run and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.
A 36-year-old man was also charged with perverting the course of justice and was released under strict bail conditions.
