BIKER NEWS: Bikers perform dangerous stunts on mid-state roads

BN- Hundreds of motorcyclists could be seen when driving throughout the middle Tennessee area on Sunday.

“It seemed like they were having all kinds of fun. I actually heard it in the break room and they were just going at it with their revving,” said Jonathan Durham.

Durham functioned Sunday mid-day in the same shopping center in Madison where numerous bikers compiled prior to their ride.

“They actually had a little drone flying in the air which was pretty exciting,” said Durham.

Bikers took to social media on Sunday documenting parts of the ride.

Pictures and video on Facebook showed hundreds gathered for what motorcyclists told Channel 4 News is the Fallen Angels Ride. It is a ride to honor those who have died while biking.

The organizer though of Sunday’s event declined to comment or interview with Channel 4 about the ride.

However, video footage bike participants shared on social media showed some of what it was like on the roads Sunday.

Some footage showed riders stopping traffic at an intersection for more than 3 minutes while doing wheelies.

Channel 4 News asked Tennessee Highway Patrol how they are able to handle situations like this.

Lt. Bill Miller said it gets challenging when there is one trooper versus hundreds of bikers, so that is when they just monitor the situation and make sure nothing criminal is taking place.

“It was just mainly a lot of people, and it looked like they were having a great time,” said Durham.

Channel 4 News reached out to Metro police to see if they had any complaints about blocked off intersections by motorcyclists, but did not hear back Sunday.
