BIKER NEWS: Rough Creed Motorcycle Club to help Santa deliver in Harlow

BIKER NEWS -- A kind-hearted motorcycle club are revving-up to help Father Christmas deliver presents in Harlow this year.

For the fifth successive year Harlow's Rough Creed Motorcycle Club will help those in the town who are having a more difficult Christmas than most.

The convoy will pack their bags full of toys and drive round to Princess Alexandra Hospital where they will donate them to children on the Dolphin Ward.

Toy donations are encouraged and anyone is welcome to join the club in their ride or watch Rough Creed drive away.

The group will leave at 10am from The Square, in Fourth Avenue, Harlow on Saturday, December 5.

Cash donations are also being taken as for the first time to support junior doctors who would not otherwise be paid for any overtime work.

Rough Creed has additionally pledged to help Upwards with Downs by securing Harlow Playhouse pantomime tickets for children who suffer with Down's Syndrome.

Tom Taylor, 25, vice president of Rough Creed MCC, said: "I absolutely love doing it."

"This will be my third time doing the Christmas run and we also do an Easter egg run too.

"We are asking for any cash or toy donations. The toys must be easy to clean as they will be in a hospital environment, so unfortunately this means we cannot accept teddy bears.

"There are quite a few of us who will be doing it, but I wouldn't like to say at this stage how many, or what route we will take. "
