BIKER NEWS: Witness describes fatal shooting of former biker

BIKER NEWS -- A former Kenilworth Avenue North resident testified Thursday about witnessing the final moments of ex-Hells Angel Lou Malone.

Angelo Cook, 21, told a first-degree murder trial he witnessed a traumatic sight in the early morning hours of Nov. 9, 2013, when he looked out the bedroom window of his rooming house on Kenilworth near Hope Street.

Cook testified he saw a bald man being chased by a pickup truck. He said one man on the passenger side of the truck was firing a shot gun at the man running away.

Cool said he saw the truck stop, a man exit from the passenger side of the truck and hit the bald man to the ground with the back of the gun.

"He hits him to the ground. He takes aim and shoots him in the back of the head," Cook testified.

The witness told a friend to call 911. Cook said he left his residence and approached a man lying on the west side sidewalk.

"I yelled out and said, 'Hey are you OK?'" Cook told the jury.

Cook approached the man, who the prosecution has identified as Malone.

He wasn't OK.

"He was breathing. His eyes were open but he wasn't talking," Cook told court.

Brothers John and Mike Josipovic have pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder in connection with the Malone slaying.

The trial, before Ontario Superior Court Justice Harrison Arrell, continues.
